Neil Blackwell

Trustee/ Treasurer

I am married with 4 daughters and live on the North Shore of Auckland. I studied Mechanical Engineering at University and upon completion set up one of the first computerised retail systems for a Paper Plus store in Takapuna. I then bought into the franchise with 2 other business partners and we grew the business to 7 stores. In 2008 I sold my shares in the business and set up my own business providing Financial and Computer consultee services to small businesses. I have been involved with The Puhinui Homes Trust since 2009 providing Bookkeeping and Payroll services, and in October 2015 was asked to become a Trustee.

I joined the Puhinui Trust Board to assist the Trust continue to offer a first class service to its residents. In 2007 graduated from Auckland University with a Bachelor of Social Work. A qualification I never thought I would achieve. This led me to working for Poly-Emp Employment & Advisory Service after I completed a placement there for my degree. I am now a co - manager of the organisation. I have lived in South Auckland for 12 years now with my partner. My greatest pleasure is spending time with my three grandchildren. I enjoy reading (I always have a book with me), swimming, walking and I love going to the movies.
